Abstract

The study focuses on improving methods for early prediction of dental caries in preschool children by considering their anatomical and physiological characteristics. Traditional approaches, mainly based on hygiene practices and dietary habits, often fail to provide an objective assessment of caries risk. Particular attention is given to the morphology of primary teeth — enamel thickness and structure, fissure patterns, and pulp chamber dimensions — as well as to the significance of pulpal blood supply in maintaining the resistance of hard dental tissues. A multifactor predictive model is proposed, integrating clinical, morphological, and physiological parameters. This approach enhances the accuracy of early caries risk assessment, supports the development of individualized preventive strategies, and contributes to the overall improvement of oral health in children.
