Modern aspects of the surgical treatment of fractures of the mandibular condylar process (review of literature)

The article reflects the state of the urgent problem of traumatology of the maxillofacial region - the treatment of fractures of the condylar process of the mandible and their consequences. The analytical review of domestic and foreign literature made it possible to determine the main problems in the treatment of patients with this type of damage and to distinguish promising areas of further study and scientific substantiation of surgical treatment of fractures of the condylar process of the mandible at the present stage. One of the areas of scientific research is justified, aimed at improving the treatment of patients with this pathology.
