Abstract

This review article presents current data on the epidemiological characteristics, diagnostic methods, and principles of complex treatment for precancerous and cancerous diseases of the mandible. The molecular-genetic mechanisms of carcinogenesis are discussed, including mutations in genes responsible for cell growth regulation, apoptosis, and angiogenesis. The article analyzes modern methods of early diagnosis, such as immunohistochemical and molecular-biological studies, which improve the accuracy of detecting pathological changes. Particular attention is given to the enhancement of surgical and combined treatment methods using reconstructive and regenerative technologies. The prospects of implementing a personalized approach to treatment based on the molecular-genetic profile of the tumor are also discussed
